| Pocket Group Launches Ireland's First i-Mode Full Track Download Service With O2 |
Pocket Group is pleased to announce the launch of its hosted full track download service. Pocket Trax was the first full track download site to go live on O2's i-mode platform offering all the latest and catalogue releases from over 1,000 independent record labels.
The service leverages both Pocket Group's in-house content management and hosting system as well as its extensive music label relationships. In addition to this, the work the company has been involved with launching full track services on operator networks around the globe, has helped it to develop a leading position in the deployment of full length music services.
The site itself initially offers 2,000 tracks from artists such as The Stereophonics, Armand Van Helden, Bob Sinclar, The Strokes and Fat Boy Slim and will be ramped up to 10,000 over the coming months. Users will pay 3 per subscription which will entitle them to download 2 full tracks of their choice. In the first two months of the service subscriptions will be offered for to customers for free.
