At an awards ceremony attended by 1500 people, New Media Age has awarded HealthAmigo the best in the Health category for its PocketDoctor product.
In the Health category, the judges were “impressed by PocketDoctor’s vision”, and described it as “brilliant at what it’s trying to do”. PocketDoctor also benefited from being one of the only truly multi-platform businesses in the category.
Managing Director, Rob Wilson, said: “To beat companies such as Superdrug and Channel 4 to this award is quite an achievement. We knew we had an excellent product, but it is pleasing to see it acknowledged by our industry. In particular, our mission to be a ‘doctor in your pocket’, anytime anyplace any device, is now a reality.”
The awards centred on the theme of effectiveness, ie that new media companies can provide:
- Real solutions to problems faced by business
- Products and services that are more efficient and profitable than old methods of doing business
- New solutions can be integrated with existing systems
Last month HealthAmigo launch PocketFirstAid. The service contains A-Z guide of emergency situations, procedures to follow in each and details of classic first aid techniques from ABC to CPR.
